The Iraqi Scientific Society for Concrete (ISSC) Hold a Workshop
As part of the Iraqi Scientific Society for Concrete (ISSC) commitment to developing engineering capabilities and raising the level of performance in construction projects, keeping pace with modern developments in construction techniques and quality of implementation, the Society, in cooperation with the Baghdad Municipality/Projects Department, will hold a workshop entitled "Drilling Piles: Equipment, Construction, Concrete Quality Control, Problems and Their Surroundings." The workshop will be held at 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 20, 2025, in the Projects Department Hall, Baghdad, Al-Zawraa Park, near Damascus Square. The speaker at this workshop will be consulting engineer Faris Abdul Razzaq Rashid.
This workshop aims to highlight the topic of drilling piles, given their critical importance in the implementation of construction projects such as roads, bridges, and residential complexes. Drilling pilings are a vital component that ensures the safety and stability of drilling and excavation sites. Those piles play a fundamental role in distributing loads, maintaining the integrity of the infrastructure, and are considered the most important construction components required for the success of engineering projects.
