The members who played a major role in establishing the Iraqi Concrete Scientific Society and who donated their time, effort, and money to ensure its approval by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research under Law No. 55 of 1981 Establishing Scientific Societies. Thirteen concrete specialists, including academics and consulting engineers with extensive experience in construction projects, submitted an application to the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research to establish this society. They were supported by eight of their colleagues, bringing the total number of participants in the founding to twenty-one specialists in the fields of structural design and technology of concrete.
