The Iraqi Scientific Society for Concrete (ISSC) holds a workshop entitled “Price Deductions for Deviations of Materials and Construction Works from Standard Specifications”

The Iraqi Scientific Society for Concrete (ISSC), in cooperation with the Baghdad Municipality/Projects Department, is holding a workshop entitled “Price Deductions for Deviations in Materials and Construction Works from Standard Specifications.” The workshop includes a series of introductory lectures on the basic principles adopted in the deduction process.
First: Classification of deviations, including deviations for materials and deviations for construction works.
Second: Calculating deductions from item prices with practical examples.
Beginning Tuesday, July 15, 2025, at 9:00 a.m., the workshop lectures will take place at the meeting room of the Projects Department building in Al-Zawraa Park. The speaker will be Professor Dr. Alaa Hussein Al-Zuhairi, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Iraqi Scientific Society for Concrete (ISSC) and a lecturer in the Civil Engineering Department at the College of Engineering, University of Baghdad.
