The Iraqi Scientific Society for Concrete (ISSC) continues its scientific path in developing the capabilities of engineers in Iraq.
As part of the Iraqi Concrete Scientific Society's commitment to developing engineering capabilities and raising the level of performance in construction projects, in line with modern developments in construction techniques and quality of implementation, the Iraqi Concrete Scientific Society, in cooperation with the Iraqi Engineers Association / Najaf Branch, held a workshop on June 21, 2025, entitled (Destroyed Bridges in Iraq - Damage Classification and Rehabilitation). The workshop included the topic of classifying damages to bridges and explaining the methods and techniques of treatment and rehabilitation while reviewing multiple examples of the challenge and creativity of the Iraqi engineer in dealing with this damage and using alternatives in the process of rebuilding these bridges. The workshop was addressed by consulting engineer Faris Abdul Razzaq Al-Mahdawi, a member of the Society's Administrative Board, and participants were awarded certificates of participation.
