The Iraqi Scientific Society for Concrete (ISSC), in cooperation with the Ministry of Construction, Housing, Municipalities and Public Works - Training and Development Center, is organizing a scientific workshop titled "Deterioration of Concrete Bridges: Causes and Rehabilitation Methods." The workshop will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, June 25, 2025, at the National Center for Engineering Consultations, affiliated with the Ministry of Construction and Housing, Baghdad, 10090, Iraq.
The workshop aims to shed light on the components of concrete bridges, and the causes of their deterioration, and to review methods and techniques for rehabilitating the lower and upper sections of concrete bridges using the latest technologies in this field. The workshop will be addressed by consulting engineer Faris Abdul Razzaq Al-Mahdawi, a member of the Society's Board of Directors and a distinguished expert in the field of bridge construction and rehabilitation. He will present his experience and observations on this important topic. This workshop comes within the framework of the associations and the Ministry of Construction, Housing, Municipalities and Public Works commitment to developing engineering competencies and raising the level of performance in construction projects, keeping pace with modern developments in construction technologies and quality of implementation.
