Iraqi Scientific Concrete Society with the Iraqi Society of Engineers organizing a scientific workshop titled "DAMAGED BRIDGES IN IRAQ/DAMAGE CLASSIFICATION & REHABILITATION."

The Iraqi Scientific Concrete Society (ISSC), in cooperation with the Iraqi Society of Engineers, is organizing a scientific workshop titled "DAMAGED BRIDGES IN IRAQ/DAMAGE CLASSIFICATION & REHABILITATION". The workshop will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, June 21, 2025, in the hall of the Iraqi Society of Engineers, Najaf Branch. The workshop aims to shed light on the classification of damages incurred by bridges destroyed during the aggression against Iraq and during military and terrorist operations, as well as methods for treatment and rehabilitation. The workshop will also discuss the challenges and creativity of Iraqi engineers in dealing with this damage, with numerous examples of the use of available alternatives in the reconstruction process. The workshop will be addressed by consulting engineer Faris Abdul Razzaq Al-Mahdawi, a member of the ISSC's administrative body and a distinguished expert in the field of bridge construction and rehabilitation. He will present his experience and observations on this important topic. This workshop comes within the framework of the ISSC's commitment to developing engineering competencies and raising the level of performance in projects.
